Religious leaders asked to preach the gospel of peace

BY ISAAC MUMBERE

Religious leaders in Uganda and Kasese district in particular have been urged to always preach the gospel of peace, unity and love in their respective denominations.

The advice was sounded yesterday afternoon by Mr. Moses Thabugha, the Bishop of the Born Again Faith Churches in Kasese district while addressing the congregation from the Pentecostal and Born Again Faith churches from both Uganda and the Eastern DRC during their three – day retreat held at the multipurpose hall in Kasese town.

The retreat was organized under the theme, “Forgiveness as church leaders, as scripted in the Biblical Book of 2nd Chronicles 7:14.

Bishop Thabugha explained that preaching the gospel of peace, love and unity should be an obligation of all religious leaders in the country.

Pr. Alan Asiimwe from the Blessing Miracle Church in Kampala urged his fellow Evangelists stop the prophecy of doing business than preaching the gospel of love, peace and unity among others as they serve the living God.

Pr. Neckson Molo, the Overseer at Blessing Miracle Church observed the need for the religious leaders to unite as they serve the people of God than causing divisionism in church.
