Railway Health Centre III receives medical equipment worth shillings 200 million

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health has donated an assortment of medical equipment worth 200 million to Railway Health Centre III in the Central Division of Kasese Municipality to boost the health services at the facility.

The equipment including beds, cupboards, chairs, gas cylinders, wheel chairs and a television set were delivered to the facility today morning by officials from Rodrisa Company Limited.

Hon. Jane Biira, the Woman Councilor representing Kidodo and Kikonzo Electoral Area to the Central Division Council while receiving the donation, commended government for thinking about the local people who seek services from the health facility.

Hon. John Kisembo Siriwayo, the Kasese Municipal Secretary for Works and Technical Services who also doubles as the Councilor representing the Railway Ward, hailed government for donating the medical supplies to the only health centre III in the Central Division.

He, however, observed need for the health facility to be fenced as one way of guaranteeing security for the donated equipment and the patients.

Mr. Martin Safari, the Central Division Chairperson stressed that the donation was an indication that government is in-charge of her people’s health. .                                                             ENDS
