Proprietors of institutions of learning stretching within River Nyamwamba Valley called to start thinking of relocating to safer places

The Kasese Municipal Deputy Town Clerk has called upon Head teachers and Proprietors of institutions of learning that stretch within River Nyamwamba Valley to start thinking of relocating the learners to safer places.

Mr. Zedekiya Kambasu Kayiri sounded the call yesterday while addressing Heads of Schools who had thronged Kasese Primary School for the official release of the 2024 P.7 Mock results.

Kayiri explained that a lot has been done to address the challenge of floods from River Nyamwamba but to his dismay, the challenge has remained persistent most especially in Nyamwamba Division.

He has since appealed to the Heads of Schools within Nyamwamba Division to work closely with their Management Committees so that together they come up with mechanisms of relocating their institutions to safer places before they are washed away.

Kayiri also says relocating the institutions of learning will save the lives of learners in case a related catastrophe reoccurs.
