Parents urged to support their children’s education

Hon. Florence Kabugho, the Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, has emphasized the importance of parents supporting their children’s education.

Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony for Sr. Marcelina Biira Malikidogo’s 25 years of service yesterday, Hon. Kabugho encouraged parents to provide scholastic materials and other related support to their children.

Kabugho who was in Kitsutsu village in Munkunyu sub-county believes education is key to unlocking development opportunities in their homes.

Hon. Kabugho also stressed the need for children to support their parents, especially when they reach old age. She emphasized that parents require their children’s love and support during this stage.

Additionally, Hon. Muhammad Kato Katoto, the Member of Parliament for Katerera County, highlighted that supporting parents is a way to receive blessings.                          

This is not the first time Hon. Kabugho has advocated for education.

Previously, she called upon parents to embrace both girl and boy child education, providing scholastic materials and supporting their children’s schooling.

 Her commitment to education and family values is evident in her efforts to promote development opportunities in Kasese District. ENDS.
