Primary seven candidates in Kasese district have been encouraged to remain firm and focused as they wait to begin the Primary Leaving Examinations on Tuesday.
The encouragement was sounded today by Rev. Wilson Mubiwabo, the Vicar at All Saints Kilembe Church of Uganda Parish while preaching during a dedication and thanksgiving service of the Primary seven candidates of Namhuga Kilembe Mines Primary School in Bulembia Division of Kasese Municipality.
The dedication and thanksgiving service of 38 candidates was held at the Parish headquarters.
Rev. Mubiwabo explained that like any other believer, the candidates need to remain confident, firm and trust in God so as to achieve success in whatever task that is ahead of them. According to him, God does not forsake whoever seeks his help with trust and faith in him. He, however, asked the candidates to also concentrate on their books.
Ms. Lucy Biira Kabanyoro, the Directress at Namhuga Kilembe Mines Primary School observed need for the pupils to engage themselves in some church activities during their vacation, the same way they have been doing while at school. She also discouraged them from joining bad peer groups that might divert them from their educational career.
Mr. Wilson Mbusa, the School’s Head teacher discouraged the learners from making what he called unnecessary visits to their relatives.According to him, the learners need to support their parents to carry out some activities that might help them get money to pay their school fees.
Some of the candidates who talked to our reporter revealed their readiness for the examinations and called for God’s intervention and guidance through the examination period.
