As School going children prepare for the beginning of first term, religious leaders from the Pentecostal church in Karambi sub-county, Bukonzo West in Kasese District have given a donation of Scholastic Materials to over two hundred Needy Children in the constituency.
The donation of books, pens and pencils which was delivered yesterday at Kisolholho Pentecostal church by Pastor Simon Bisogho, was given to the underprivileged children; most of them orphans.
According to Pastor Bisogho, the donation aims to promote education for all, regardless of their religious and ethnic inclinations. Each child received four dozens of books, pens and pencils Pr.
Some of the Parents including Mr. Asa Baluku a parent from Kitholhu Sub County noted that some children sometimes drop out of school due to a lack of scholastic materials.
Mrs. Jane Kalimumbangwe, a parent from Karambi, who appreciated the donation asked Pastor Bisogho to continue providing support to more children in the area especially sanitary towels to girls which has been sited among issues that had lead to early pregnancies where girls end up acquiring them from boyfriends.
