Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has embarked on the exercise of streamlining and strengthening her administrative structure across the chiefdoms with an aim of harmonizing leadership setting.
The exercise started yesterday with Kampasa Chiefdom at Kinyamaseke Town Council Headquarters. It attracted attendees from the Sub-counties of Nyakiyumbu, Munkunyu, Nyakatonzi and Kinyamaseke Town Council.
Addressing a section of Kingdom leaders and subjects before the start of the exerciseof selecting nativeand clan leaders, the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom Spokesperson, Hon. Geoffrey Kanyonyi, encouraged all thesubjects to identify and unite themselves in order to preserve and conserve their culture.
He also noted that cultural leaders should desist from playing partisan politics, arguing that some individuals do not trust politicians.
In his remarks during the meeting, the Kinyamaseke Town Council Chairperson, Ernest Kyamakya, pledged to invite native leaders in the next council meeting and offered to provide a place where the committee members would be meeting.
In an interview with Messiah Radio, Yosoni Kule Mulengemerya, the Chairperson of the Clan leaders in Rwenzori Region, applauded the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu for the initiative, adding that it would create a linkage among the people right away from the top leadership of the Cultural Institution to the village levels.
