The Chieftains’ Forum of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has asked Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma to sanction their quarterly meetings as the cultural institution is currently in her rebranding process.

The Chieftains sounded the remarks today through their Chairperson; Mr. Uziah Kibingo Wanzabalere while reading a report to the King during their visit to the Kamaiba based Royal Palace in Kasese town.

They told the King that they seem to have been disrespected by the community members when it comes to the implementation of their work in their respective Chiefdoms, appealing to the King to grant them all their authority to do their distinguished roles.

They did not hide to tell the King that they were facing some challenges while trying to resolve some disputes involving customary land across the entire Kingdom.

The Chieftains also suggested to the King to establish museums and public libraries to help the subjects understand the history of the Kingdom.

In his response, the Omusinga said he was working with government to ensure the restoration of culture.

About the land disputes, the King noted that he was concerned about such issues he said were on an increase in his Kingdom.

He pledged to table the matter to the top leadership of the country for an immediate solution.

About their quarterly meetings, the Rwenzururu Cultural leader supported the idea, adding that it would help to foster development in the Kingdom.
