The Kasese District National Unity Platform (NUP) Chairperson, Mr. Bryans Basisa has encouraged the party members to work for peace and unity as they mobilize support for their political organization.

Mr. Basisa says that for the party to gain strength, it needs a strong mobilization team which is organized, cooperative and united.

He sounded the encouragement last evening while addressing the press at the District Party Offices on Alexander Street in Kasese town while officially welcoming Mr. Fred Muneyi from Kyamuduma village in Lhuhiri Parish, Mahango Sub-county who defected from the Democratic Party (DP) to NUP.

Speaking in a jovial mood, Mr. Muneyi told the press that he decided to defect from DP to NUP because of the party’s alleged affiliation to the ruling NRM party.
