A section of NRM Youth in Kasese District have unveiled a number of obstacles that frustrate their efforts towards mobilizing for the party ahead of the forthcoming 2026 General Elections.
In a meeting that was convened yesterday at Legacy Chillout in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality, a section of the NRM youth who are on the structures unveiled a number of challenges to one of the candidates vying for the position of the National Chairperson for the NRM Youth League.
Robina Akorebirungi, the Youth League Chairperson for Bugoye Sub-County disclosed that they were lacking means of transport including motorcycles to enable them reach out to several people while preaching the gospel of NRM as scripted in her manifesto.
Easther Kikama, a Youth Councillor from Rukoki Sub- County revealed that in most cases, the youth are not supported and financially empowered to live exemplary lives in their respectively communities especially when it comes to talking about poverty eradication.
Brenda Kiconco from Kabale District who is vying for the position of the National Chairperson for the NRM Youth League pledged to present the challenges affecting the Kasese based youth to the President for redress.
She, however, tipped them to embrace the culture of lobbying as a team but also initiate several SACCOs out of their structures if they want to benefit a lot from the government.
