The construction of an MTN mast in Nyabugando II Cell in Mpondwe -Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese district has excited the residents.
Yesterday, the Kasese Deputy RDC in-charge of Bukonzo County, Lt. Maate Magwara launched the construction works in the area on behalf of the Government of Uganda and subsequently handed the site over to CENTDOOR construction company Limited.
Addressing the residents shortly after the launch, Lt. Magwara explained that the main purpose of erecting a mast in the area was to boost the network coverage and enhance security since Nyabugando neighbours with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mr. Wycliff Kataremwa, the Site Supervisor pledged that the company would do quality work within the construction period of one month.
A section of residents who spoke to Messiah Radio in a jovial mood applauded the Government of Uganda for considering their area to have a mast, adding that they have been battling with a challenge of poor network.
