Mr. Ngununu vows to contest as an independent candidate after losing from the NRM party primary elections for the LCIII chairpersons

Mr. Joseph Ngununu who participated in the NRM primary elections for the position of Local Council III Chairperson for Kitabu Sub- County in Bukonzo County East, Kasese district has revealed that despite losing the election, he would participate in the 2026 General Elections as an independent candidate.

Mr. Ngununu argues that he didn’t accept the results that were declared by the Party Registrar at the tally centre on Thursday last week.

Speaking to Messiah Radio yesterday morning, Ngununu vowed that petitioning the party offices was a waste of time, adding that he would only appear on the ballot paper as an independent candidate.

He explained that once entrusted with the power to lead the people of Kitabu sub-county, he would sensitize the residents about the need to embrace government programs that are aimed at transforming them economically.
