Members of the OBR structures asked to work for the subjects’ development

The leadership of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has carried out an election exercise for the structures in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality with a call on elected leaders to work for the subjects’ development.

Speaking to the press shortly after the election exercise, Nelson Nzenda Isebahasa, the Royal Native Sub-County Chief, said the elected Executive Committee members for women, youth, parish native chiefs and all clan leaders will complement the Kingdom leadership in implementing the 5-year Strategic Development Plan.

He encouraged all leaders to be united, preserve and promote their culture, warning them to avoid partisan politics that divides people.

Mr. Nzenda urged the youth to utilize their energy and strength to work for the development of the Kingdom.

Mrs.  Zoromina Sibuyitolhwa, who was elected as the Chairperson for Women, encouraged her fellow women in Nyamwamba Division to love their cultural institution, work for it through sending their children to school and promoting decent dressing among their young ones.

Romans Kibaya, who was elected as the Chairperson for the youth, asked his fellows to be united, embrace peace and ensure that they behave well and dress decently.

Mr. Kibaya asked them to work for the Kingdom knowing that they are the future leaders.

John Bosco Bwambale, who was elected as the Secretary for General for the Abathangi Clan, said streamlining of the Kingdom structures would act as a foundation for promoting her five pillars and create linkage among the subjects. ENDS
