Leaders in Kasese District have called for reconciliation following the recent elections.
The leaders also call for respect of those people who got the majority votes from the public.
Mr. Jeremiah Bwambale Bwanandeke, the District Councilor representing Mahango Sub-county, who was recently re-elected to represent the people in the same position, yesterday observed the need for the people to forgive one another and accept the fact that those who got the majority votes are their leaders.
He encouraged the people to embark on carrying out productive activities including farming and businesses in order for them to get money and food for sale and consumption.
Mr. Chance Kahindo Sibyabugha, the Kasese Municipality Mayor, who retained the same seat, noted that whereas the population subscribes to different political parties, they need not to involve them into matters of development.
He reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of Kasese through responsible utilization of the government funds disbursed for the public infrastructural development.
