BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

The Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho has congratulated the Muslims for successfully completing the Holy Month of Ramadan but with a call on them to prioritizing their children’s education.

The legislator, who had joined the Muslim community at Kanyampara Mosque in Munkunyu sub-county, described education as a core tool to address the challenge of poverty and illiteracy among the people.

Kabugho subsequently donated 100 kilograms of rice to the Muslim faith at Kanyampara Mosque. She, however, encouraged them to adopt the modern methods of farming and embrace commercial agriculture in an attempt to fight against food insecurity among the families in the district.

Some of the Muslims told the legislator that they were happy with parliament for condemning homosexuality.

Mr. Amuri Masereka, the Imam at Kanyampara Mosque, asked the Muslims to be kind, peaceful and united in order to live exemplary lives in their respective communities.
