Kasese residents warned against sabotaging the ongoing NRM register update

BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

The Kasese District National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary for Publicity, Mr. Johnson Kamalha Kalyasa has warned party leaders against sabotaging the on-going register update and display exercise across.

His warning follows information that was making rounds in Kasese town yesterday indicating that some party leaders had stopped students with the required documents from registering in the yellow book. According to him, the act contradicts the guidelines and training manual of the ruling party.

While addressing the press, Kamalha said whoever intends to sabotage the ongoing exercise is fighting the Head of State and the National Chairman of the ruling party, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

According to Kamalha, students with the necessary requirements including National Identification Number (NIN) or Learners Identification Number (LIN), Voter Location Slip, Registration Number issued by NIRA and Phone Number are legible to participate in the exercise.

He clarified that incase a person is abroad or far away from his home area, they can still register through sending the requirements so that they are verified in the yellow-book.
