Mr. Misairi Thembo Kahungu commonly known as Ogga, a renowned journalist currently attached to the Parliamentary Watch has today picked nomination forms at the FDC offices in Kasese town.
Kahungu is among the over 10 FDC members vying for the party flag in the primary elections to represent the people of Bukonzo County East in the 12th Parliament of Uganda.
Accompanied by a group of supporters from Bukonzo County East, Kahungu revealed that he was more than ready to take the FDC flag and subsequently win the 2026 General Elections.
He also explained that he developed the desire to represent the electorate in Bukonzo County East after realizing that the ruling NRM party was allegedly making wrong resolutions in parliament without anyone challenging them.
Other party members who picked nomination forms today include Mr. Ericana Baluku Ndyoka, Selevest Masereka and Zeno Masereka all vying for the Bukonzo County East Parliamentary seat.
They pledged to go to the constituency and convince the members to give them the party flag so that they compete with candidates from other political parties.
Mr. Benon Muhindo alias Zaake also picked nomination forms for the Bukonzo County West Parliamentary seat, Robert Franco Centenary for Kasese Municipality and Saidi Muhindo Kisuku for Mayor Kasese Municipality.
Former Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Geoffrey Sibendire Bigogo and the L. C III Chairperson for Maliba Town Council, Mr. Abdul Saad picked nomination forms for the District Chairpersonship position.
