Kasese MPs encourage parents to teach their children from schools within the district

BY MOUREEN BIIRA

A section of concerned political leaders in Kasese district has observed need for the parents to embrace the idea of teaching their children from schools within the district.

The political leaders including the Kasese Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho and her Bukonzo County East counterpart, Hon. Harold Tony Muhindo argue that they sometimes become perturbed when they see a section of parents transport their children to schools outside the district after attaining better grades.

Hon. Kabugho says the act contributes to under development of the education system in the district.

On his part, Hon. Harold Tony Muhindo, encourages the parents to prioritize their children’s education through the provision of scholastic materials so that they effectively study without facing any inconveniences.

The legislator also calls on parents to give career guidance to their children especially those who may wish to join some tertiary institutions after attaining the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).

This, according to Hon. Muhindo would give the children chance and time to take up marketable courses.

In a separate development, the Bukonzo County East legislator urges the general public to work hard and spend the money that they have responsibly than over relying on government funds.

He explains that the economic hardships faced by individuals are similar to those faced by government.

Hon. Muhindo thus suggests to the people to plan within their limits so as to avoid regrets.
