Kasese District Vice Chairperson calls for heightened investigations on criminal matters

BY JOACKIM KULE

The Kasese District Vice Chairperson has called on the police and the Community Development Officers to always respond to the criminal activities on time in a bid to bring sanity in their respective communities.

Mr. Jerevesious Monday Bwambale says that there are a lot of criminal activities including defilement that are occurring in the district.

According to him, they are hearing rumors indicating that there are suspected defilement cases in Maliba Town Council where two girls are reported to have been defiled and one other case in Kisinga Town Council, something he regrets might have created a bad name to the two Lower Local Governments.

He calls on the police to quicken their investigations into the alleged incidents and then take the files to the Resident State Attorney for sanctioning so that prosecution takes place.

Bwambale, who also doubles as the Secretary for Social Services, courts the parents to prioritize taking their children to schools and also sensitize them against immorality.

He regrets that most schools have not realized the previous year’s enrolments for reasons yet to be ascertained by the authorities.

He appeals to the Heads of institutions to give ample time to the parents to look for the fees as their children keep in schools.
