Kasese Deputy RDC calls for peaceful co-existence

Residents of Kasese District have been urged to work towards promoting peaceful co-existence and unity in order to create the spirit of brotherhood that paves way for development in thecommunities.

The advance was sounded yesterday by the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in-charge of Bukonzo County while addressing the mourners who had thronged Kakonje village of Muruti Parish, in Nyakatonzi Sub –county during the sendoff of Moses Wamara Muhanguzi, the Sub-county NRM Registrar.

Late Muhanguzi died of cancer that he had battled with for five years, according to the family report read to the mourners by Ham Natuhwera.

Magwara, who in his eulogy speech praised the deceased for having been peaceful, appealed to the people to adopt his character and ensure that they encourage a peaceful co-existence in their communities.

According to Magwara, his office is committed to resolving conflicts that exist between the cattle keepers and the cultivators, calling for joint support towards the cause initiated by all the stakeholders.

Ven. Solomon Badaaki, the Archdeacon for Kinyamaseke Archdeaconry in South Rwenzori Diocese who preached to the mourners also encouraged them to love one another as highlighted in the bible.

Ven. Badaakitold the mourners to live a purposeful life that is associated with fighting battles for spiritual growth and community development.

The Kasese District NRM Vice Chairperson, Hon. Boaz Kafuda, like other political leaders and speakers described the death of the party member as a loss, noting that he has beenkey in advocating for the party and the sustainability of the ruling government.
