ICT and National Guidance Ministry launches ideological deepening and cardership development training at Bwera Secondary School

The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance is currently conducting a seven day ideological deepening and cardership development training at Bwera Secondary School in Mpondwe – Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese district.

The training which started yesterday has attracted participants from Kasese district and the entire Rwenzori sub-region aims at deepening National ideology, values and common good to different categories of leaders in the Rwenzori sub-region.

Most of the participants at the training are youth leaders, student leaders, primary and secondary school teachers and some selected community members who are being trained in different sills including drills, aerobics, singing revolutionary, patriotism and military songs among others.

Today afternoon, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga Kime thronged Bwera Secondary School and officially launched the training.

He told the participants that his ministry among others is charged with the responsibility of having a well informed, peaceful, democratic and productive society that works together to uphold national ideology, values interests  and common good for sustainable national development.

Kabbyanga stressed that they were very much committed to training Ugandan irrespective of their political affiliations, tribe and region, appealing to all the citizens to embrace the campaign and have passion for the country.

He therefore challenged the participants to be loyal and supportive to government as well as promoting ethical values through being an eye for government to pinpoint and identify corrupt officials so that they are arrested.

The junior Minister tasked the participants to form associations as a platform for them to tap some opportunities and wealth from the Central Government.

On his part, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walusimbi used the same platform to urge the youth to interest themselves in knowing the country’s national ideologies and values in order for them to be good citizens.

Some of the key speakers at the training included Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the Minister of State for Trade, Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Col. Cyril Mawa Muhindo, the UDPF attaché in Algeria and Lt. Maate Magwara, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Bukonzo County.
