Government is handling my health concerns, says Omusinga

BY OBED KULE KITHENDE

Rwenzururu King (Omusinga) Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has confirmed that the Government of Uganda was steadily handling the concern of his health.

The Omusinga, who however confirmed that he had taken over seven years without going for medical checkup, noted that it was higher time for him to get medical attention.

The King revealed that he was receiving government officials to hand issues concerning his health, warning the public especially politicians against the act of politicizing the matter.

The Rwenzururu cultural leader sounded the remarks this evening while addressing a delegation of Rwenzururu Veterans from Bundibugyo and Kabarole districts that had paid a courtesy visit to him at his Kamaiba based palace in Kasese town.

He, however, hailed the Members of Parliament from Kasese district for their initiative of reminding the government about her pledge of taking him for medical checkups. According to him, the pledge was made by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on December 13, 2023.

The Omusinga used the same platform to call upon his subjects to remain calm, saying his health status was not alarming as speculated by the public.

Details about the visit of the Veterans will come your way in our subsequent bulletins. ENDS
