BY ZALIMON BASIGHALHA (GOOD LUCK)

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party in Kasese district will in this calendar year January – December 2024, operate on an estimated budget of shillings 115 million.

The budget estimates were passed yesterday during a mini – conference for the party representatives from across all sub-counties in the district and the District Executive Committee for the party. The mini-conference that was also aimed at resolving the issues of Katonga and Najjanankumbi factions was held at Ruben Village the Lounge in Kasese town.

While peaking to our reporter today afternoon at the party offices in Kasese town, the District Party Chairperson, Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku, however, explained that the budget estimates were passed with some amendments since the party is looking for funds to procure land on which to construct their own offices so that they move out of rent.

He, on the other hand, stressed that the one year budget estimates amounting to shillings one million would be used to promote the mobilization and recruitment drive from grass-root levels to the district.

Asked about the source of funding, Mr. Kabuku revealed that the funds to facilitate all the planned party activities would come from well –wishers, donations and disbursements from elected political leaders from Local Council Ones to the Members of Parliament on the party ticket.

Mr. Kabuku called upon all party members and supporters to generously support the planned activities and the budget. ENDS
