Directorate of Medical Services donates an ambulance to police in Kasese district to help in responding to emergencies

The Directorate of Medical Services has donated an ambulance to the police in Rwenzori East Region, Kasese district to empower the force respond to emergencies that occur within the communities.

The Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime who yesterday morning identified the received ambulances as Registration Number UP 0789, said as the force they were celebrating the milestone because it would help them effectively respond to some emergencies including accidents on time and transport the victims to health facility with the urgency that they deserve.

He proudly added that this time round, their response to sudden incidents will be faster in order to save the lives of victims.

Tumushime revealed that the ambulance would not only be under the control of police but also the community members when some emergencies happen.
