Councilors in the Central Division of Kasese Municipality who didn’t go through during the recently concluded 2026 General Elections have been advised to share their manifestos with the people who won the elections.
The advice was sounded yesterday by the Central Division NRM Chairperson, Gideon Black Masereka while addressing the councillors during a council sitting at the Division council hall.
Masereka explained that it was a good idea for the people who failed during the recently concluded 2026 General Elections to support those who got the highest number of votes with their manifestos for incorporation if their reasons that forced them to contest were people centered.
Mr. Masereka said it was not through holding political offices that someone would support their communities, adding that getting involved in other initiatives that are available would also contribute to the socio-economic development of the voters.
He therefore encouraged the councilors that having lost an election should not be considered as an end of one’s life but rather an opportunity to explore other opportunities.
