Christians wherever they are have been encouraged to always learn how to forgive at any time of their lives as one of making the Good News of Christ reach all nations.
The encouragement was sounded today afternoon by the Bishop of Lango Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa while preaching to the congregation that had thronged St. Paul’s Cathedral Hill in Kasese town for the 2024 South Rwenzori Diocesan Convention.
The four –day Convention that officially started today and will end on Sunday November 17 is running under the theme, “Conforming to the truth of God’s word for transformation,” drawn from the Biblical Book of Romans 12:1-2.
Bishop Olwa explained that Christians who do not forgive cannot spread the Word of God to themselves as well as their neighbors.
The Man of God thus challenged the believers in Christ to teach one another for the growth of the church so that it goes forward with its works.
He used the same podium to appeal to the religious leaders to also learn how to forgive not only the people who hurt them but also their family members including their spouses.
During the service, Rev. Ezra Mukonzo Yongeza and his family returned thanks to God for healing his wife who has been battling with cancer.
His wife, Felestus Mukonzo told the congregation that it was worthy returning thanks to the living God who makes miracles.
