Christians in Kasese asked to stick to their divine divine call

BY MATHIUS KAHUNGU

Christians wherever they are have been asked to stick to their divine calling and accept the sovereign control of God in their daily activities.

The remarks were sounded today morning by the South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku while opening a four –day Prayer Conference for St. Paul’s Deanery that is ongoing at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town.

The Bishop observed the need for the Christians to always live a repenting and prayerful life as a means of realizing peace and maintaining their relationships with God.

The Prelate also encouraged the Christians to seek the Spiritual Strength of God and warned them against diverting from their calling; something he said might lead them into trouble like the Biblical Jonah

Addressing the congregation, Ms Louis Darwin from Southern Australia who was one of the Guests at the conference hailed the Bishop for feeding the Christians with the Gospel of God and urged the believers in Christ to strengthen their unity with God.

In his address to the congregation, the Sub-Dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Ven. Robert Ziwa, asked the Christians to cooperate with the security team that has been deployed at the venue to report any suspicious persons that they might come across.

This year’s prayer conference has been organized under the theme, “Waiting on the Lord,” as scripted in the Biblical Book of Acts 1:8-8. ENDS
