Christians in Kasese District have been challenged to emulate the character of the Uganda Martyrs who accepted to be killed for the sole purpose of defending their faith in Christ.
The challenge was sounded today morning by Rev. Girison Baluku Kibethe, the Assistant Sub-dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral of South Rwenzori Diocese while preaching to the congregation that had attended the Martyrs Day commemoration prayers.
In his preaching, Rev. Kibethe observed the need for the Christians to always stand firm in their journey of Christianity despite any form of persecutions that they might encounter in their respective communities.
The Man of God also told the congregation to promote a society that is free from corruption in order for the services to reach the intended beneficiaries.
In his remarks, Ven. Robert Ziwa, The Sub-dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral emphasized the need for the Christians to be committed to spreading the Good News without fearing intimidations from other people.
