The Bishop of South Rwenzori, the Rt Rev Nason Baluku has encouraged believers to define their purpose in life and invite the Holy Spirit to guide them towards the attainment of that purpose.
Bishop Baluku was speaking on Sunday during a service at St. Mark Ebenezer Church of Uganda Kinyabakazi in Muhokya Anglican Parish in St. Paul’s Deanery where he had gone to lay a foundation stone at the church building. The service also involved confirmation of 100 believers into the Anglican faith.
According to Bishop Baluku, a section of believers yearn for the Holy Spirit to take control over their lives without identifying clearly what the Holy Spirit should lead them to.
The prelate emphasised the need for believers to devote to the third person in the holy trinity, regular repentance and frequently forgiving those who wrong us key elements in one’s relationship with the Holy Spirit while quoting the biblical book of Acts 1:4-5.
The Director of Mission in South Rwenzori Diocese Rev. William Musisi has urged Christians to be agents of positive change within their communities.
The man of God argues that for a community that has been bedeviled by evil practices like corruption and homosexuality, Christians ought to stand out against these vices so that non-believers can pick inspiration to stand for the right from them.
Mr. Edson Bwambale another Christian also emphasised the need for all believers to join various church movements for their spiritual nourishment.
He also reminded parents that the school term was due and thus they ought to return their children to school.
