The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has observed the need for the couples to keep their marriage certificates safely.
The Prelate made the observation over the weekend while addressing the congregation that had thronged Nyisango Church of Uganda in Buhaghura Church of Uganda Parish, Kasese Archdeaconry.
The Bishop told the Christians who have gone through Holy Matrimony not to take their marriage certificates for granted, describing them as vital documents that deter selfish people from grabbing property in case one of the spouses departs from the world.
The Man of God implored the people who have not yet passed through church marriages to do so as a means gaining stability in their families coupled with acquiring legal marriage documents that would act as evidence in case some people try to grab their matrimonial property.
He also cautioned the school going youth to be mindful of their future through desisting from engaging themselves in activities that might lead to wastage of their parents’ efforts and resources that they invest in them.
