The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has observed the need for the clergy to use their different platforms to encourage the Christians to embrace the saving culture.
The Bishop sounded the remarks today while delivering his Easter message to the Diocesan staff and employees working in various projects who had thronged St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town for a carol service.
The Bishop highlighted that most Christians were still working to get money from their hands to the mouth; something he said keeps them in poverty. The Prelate reiterated his call to the Christians to utilize the services of the Diocesan Trinity SACCO.
The Man of God implored the Clergy to encourage the Christians to utilize the rainy season to grow more food crops and enhance their diet.
In his preaching, Ven. Jozet Baluku Kyuma, the Archdeacon for Nyamwamba Archdeaconry, told the congregation to always shy away from discouragement, appealing to them to pray to God for the Holy Spirit to guide them in the accomplishment of harsh tasks assigned to each one of them.
In an exclusive interview shortly after the service, Ven. Manasi Takwenda, the Archdeacon for Maliba Archdeaconry observed the need for the couples to open up joint savings accounts as alternative means of encouraging them plan together and avoid domestic violence.
