South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop has emphasised the need for believers to embrace praise and worship as a unique mode of prayer.
Rt. Rev Nason Baluku says gospel music is another form in which a believer professes firm belief in Christ before adding that gospel music is a source of happiness.
Bishop Nason also encouraged the believers to cultivate the habit of happiness, count their blessings and then rise to praise the Lord.
He made the remarks over the weekend while officiating over the Hymnal Event in which about ten choir groups were participated in singing hymns and other folk compositions to glorify God. The event was held at All Saints Pro-cathedral in Nyamwamba Archdeaconry.
Rev. William Muhindo Musisi the South Rwenzori Diocesan Mission Director says the hymnal event is intended to remind Anglican believers of the original composition of most of their hymns so as to reduce chances of them being adulterated.
The event was also graced with the participation ofWest Ruwenzori Diocesan Choir in Bundibugyo district and nine other choirs from within South Rwenzori Diocese.
In his remarks, Mr. Edson Mubangizi the West Ankole Diocesan Music Director appreciated the choirs for their participation before urging them to intensify their practice so that voices blend better.
