The South Rwenzori Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku has encouraged the students to endure their academic challenges and advised them to seek the power of Jesus in an attempt to excel in their studies.

The Prelate sounded the encouragement and piece of advice today morning while preaching to the staff and students of St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School, Kamaiba during their Easter Carol Service that was held at the institution’s premises.

Bishop Baluku told the congregation to dedicate themselves to Jesus Christ fully, saying the act would lead them to success as well as overcoming the obstacles that might come under their ways.

The Man of God warned school-going children and the entire Christians against involving themselves in sinful acts that annoy God. He lashed at some people whom he said have turned to be Christians on trial even when they are baptized and confirmed in their faith.

He wondered why such people remember God after encountering challenges in their lives, appealing to them to utilize the resurrection of Jesus Christ to strengthen their relationship with God.

Mr. Jockus Masereka, the Head teacher at St. Paul’s Vocational Secondary School – Kamaiba said he was happy with the Bishop for lobbying funds that have seen the institution develop.

He revealed that they decided to hold today’s Carol Service to among others celebrate last year’s UCE results where the school was ranked the eighth in Kasese district.
