Anglican Bishop warns Christians against sectarianism

BY MATHIUS KAHUNGU

Christians in South Rwenzori Diocese have been warned against the act of including sectarianism and tribalism in church activities.

The warning was sounded today afternoon by the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku while preaching to the congregation that had thronged St. Mark’s Kabukero II Church of Uganda in Karusandara Church of Uganda Parish, Kasese Archdeaconry.

The Bishop had gone to the area to officially open the church building and confirm 100 Christians into the Anglican faith.

The Man of God noted that building the church on sectarianism and tribalism divides the people and thus leads to the downfall and under development of the church of Christ and her Christians.

The Prelate advised the Christians to instead prioritize standing in solidarity with their counterparts and extending a helping hand to the needy and underprivileged.
