Parents warned against giving their children to the people they don’t know

The Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in-charge of Bukonzo County has advised parents to be selective and vigilant while giving their children to some people who might come to them in disguise of awarding bursaries and scholarships to the learners.

Lt. Maate Magwara argues that some terrorists might such a period to lure the parents and take their children purposely for terrorism related activities.

The Deputy RDC, who was speaking to our reporter at his office today morning, warned that some bad people and organizations might also take it as an advantage to kidnap the school going children for their own interests.

He appealed to organizations and people intending to give out bursaries and scholarships to the learners to first reach the RDC’s office for registration before being allowed to go ahead with their activities.

Lt. Magwara used the same platform to warn the people especially boda- boda riders against the practice of moving at night, describing it as risky to their lives in terms of security.
