The Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has urged his subjects in the Diaspora to always pay allegiance to the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu and jealously support her programmes.

The Omusinga sounded the remarks today afternoon while addressing his subjects from Mubende and Kasanda districts who had paid a courtesy visit to him at his Kamaiba based Royal Palace in Kasese town.

The nine – member delegation had come to congratulate the Omusinga upon his release and his Royal Guards from Prison in June last year.

The Rwenzururu Cultural leader, who appreciated the visiting team, stressed that despite living in areas occupied by people of different cultures, they needed to continue paying their allegiance to the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu and respect their cultural values, norms and obligations.

He also noted that the Kingdom’s subjects who are staying in other areas should not shy away from speaking Lhuyira fluently in the communities that they live or work from.

The Omusinga assured the visiting team that he would balance all regions in the cabinet so that all the people are represented and mobilized by selected people from the areas that they live in.

In her remarks, the Rwenzururu Queen, Her Highness Agnes Ithungu Asimawe, applauded the Bayira who are living in other areas for exposing themselves as subjects of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu.

Nyabaghole implored them to take time and teach the culture of the Bayira to the young generation especially the meanings of names that they hold.

Mr. Yokonia Muhiwa and Emmanuel Bwambale who led the delegation from Mubende and Kasanda respectively congratulated the Omusinga and hailed government for dropping all the charges that had been slapped against him and his Royal Guards.

The duo requested the Omusinga to advocate for the people living in other areas so that they are treated equally in the communities where they live.
