A prolonged drought that is currently hitting Kasese has attracted the attention of one of the religious leaders, prompting him to organize joint confession and repentance prayers aimed at seeking for God’s mercy.
Maj. (Rtd) Pr John Sibendire Katusabe, the lead pastor at Salvation Crusade Ministries International, argued that the prevailing drought is likely to wreak more havoc if there is no divine intervention from the almighty God.
Maj. Katusabe says that the organized prayers slated for Saturday this week at the Rwenzori Square, will be under the theme “Who Can Speak and Have it Happen if God has not decreed it”.
Addressing the press yesterday, Katusabe encouraged believers to embrace praying whenever they get calamities, arguing that God is a sovereign of over all events and has potential to change the climatic trend for the better.
Maj. Katusabe also experienced concern over the rising cases of mysterious deaths happening in the district. Katusabe opined that the rising cases of suicide, murder and assault need divine intervention.
