The territorial police in Katwe Kabatooro are investigating circumstances under which a 46-year-old was discovered lying lifeless in pool of blood yesterday at a farm in Rwehingo village of Nyakatonzi sub-county.
ASP Elly Maate has identified the deceased as Teopista Kyakimwa who was also a resident in the same area.
According to Maate, preliminary information indicates that the deceased left home on Monday at around 5pm and went to Rwehingo trading center to buy food stuffs only not to return home that very day.
Apparently, before her demise, she had last been spotted at one of the local bars in Rwehingo trading centre.
Maate told the press that police have commenced investigations into the unfortunate incident and so far, eight people including three women have been arrested to help the police in getting to the root of the matter.
He also appealed to any persons with detailed information about the cause of the death to share it with the police force. ENDS.
