Teachers in Kasese District have been encouraged to always conduct training sessions of both the learners and their leaders about good leadership in a bid to nurture strong future leaders.

The encouragement was sounded yesterday afternoon by the Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, the Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, who also doubles as a former commissioner of schools while officiating at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected prefects at 3 Wise Men Star Kindergarten School- Kasese located in the Central Division of Kasese Municipality.

Baritazale who is also the School’s Director, emphasized the need for the institutions of learning to establish training sessions for the leaders in those schools as a way of improving the learners’ leadership skills and to have disciplined future leaders.

By organizing leadership training sessions, the learners would be enabled to know the importance of joining leadership while still young.

He also observed the need for conducting free and fair elections.

The School’s Head teacher, Venesio Magezi, requested the parents to always spare some time and sit with their children in order to give the parental advice on how to behave while associating with others.

Martha Biira, the newly elected Head girl, said she was preparing to become a great politician because of the inspirations by the female Members of Parliament.
