The NRM party in Kasese district and the Rwenzori Sub-region at large has asked her members to rally behind all the party flag bearers in order to benefit more the ruling government.
The remarks were sounded yesterday by the Rwenzori Regional Senior Presidential Advisor, Christine Muhindo while addressing the residents of Katoho Trading Centre in Munkunyu Sub-county during a campaign rally organized by Dr. Julius Monday Bwambale Rude, the Bukonzo County East NRM parliamentary candidate in the 2026 General Elections.
Ms Muhindo observed that for the last 20 years, the constituency has been sending opposition legislators in the Parllament of Uganda, asking the residents to break the trend through electing the NRM candidate to the August House.
According to her, once the electorate entrust the NRM candidate with the parliamentary role, connectivity with the government would be easy.
Delivering his manifesto to the residents, Dr. Rude said he would prioritize lobbying for a health centre III in Nyakatonzi Parish in order to curtail the residents from trekking long distances while seeking health care services coupled with lobbying the government to establish a pay for the VHTs so that they do their work smoothly.
He also pledged to lobby for the funds to support organized groups at village levels.
