Residents of Busongora County North in Kasese District have observed the need for the political leaders who will successfully sail through the 2026 General Elections to concentrate on working on the existing roads which according to them are in a sorry state.
The residents sounded the remarks today at political rallies of the FDC candidates including Florence Kabugho for Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, William MusabeNzoghu for Member of Parliament representing Busongora County North and Geoffrey Sibendire Thembo Bigogo for Kasese District Chairperson that was held at a number of trading centres including Nyambuko, Bikone and Nyakalingijjo.
Johnson Kingora, the Nyambuko village Chairperson cited the Nyambuko-Kyanika road among road which he said needed to be worked on urgently.
Mrs. Jane Biira Mupanda requested the leaders to always arrange for community dialogues after going through the elections as a tool to identify and understand the community needs for redress.
While responding to the community concerns, Mr. Bigogo promised to lobby for a road fund and sort out the challenge of poor roads if elected into office.
He asked the community members to vote for visionary leaders
