Conservative Party’s presidential candidate vows to establish small-scale agricultural factories

The Conservative Party (C.P) Presidential Candidate, Elton Joseph Mabirizi has pledged to establish small-scale agricultural factories that would facilitate farmers to add value to their crop yields.

Mr. Mabirizi, who is seeking election for the position of Uganda’s President in the 2026 General Elections made the pledge this evening while addressing the people of Kasese district at the Delta Stage in Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Municipality.

Mabirizi noted that agriculture being the backbone of the country, needs to be given a priority in terms of funding so that it progresses and satisfies the needs of Ugandans.  

He revealed that he was disappointed over the manner agriculture was not performing well in the country because of the allegedly failure by the government to prioritize it for improvement and motivate the farmers.

He therefor pledged that once elected as the Uganda’s next President, he would prioritize the establishment of small-scale agricultural factories that would enable the farmers to process their crops into finished products so that they are sold at higher prices.

He also said he would ensure the introduction of mechanized farming systems t help the farmers boost agricultural production.

The presidential candidate also told the people that he would ensure that natural resources are utilized to boost the economy of Ugandans. 

He regretted that Kasese having been endowed with rich natural resources, the people haven’t benefited from their presence.

He implored the people of Kasese to fight against corruption and advocate for the enhancement of civil servants’ salaries. ENDS
