Kasese- Church Minister urges learners to be disciplined

BY MATHIUS KAHUNGU

Students wherever they are have been encouraged to maintain self discipline as well as shying away from the past events that might derail them from concentrating on the educational journey.

The encouragement was sounded yesterday by Ven. Anasanairi Mutsumbiri, the Archdeacon for Kisinga Archdeaconry in South Rwenzori Diocese while preaching to the students at Kisinga Vocational Secondary School during their Easter Carol Service held at the school’s premises.

Quoting the Biblical Book of Colossians 3:5 -12, Ven. Mutsumbiri told the students to put to death whatever belongs to their early nature including sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed among others.

He therefore observed the need for them to follow a new life that was ushered in by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Church Minister also encouraged the students to always follow the pieces of advice and guidance given to them by their parents and leaders instead of being influenced by external forces that subsequently divert them from concentrating on education hence leading to dropping out of school.

Mr. Benjamin Masereka, the School’s Head teacher called upon the parents to take good care of their school-going children during the Easter celebrations and warned the learners to celebrate the day responsibly.
