Two people are in police custody in Kasese town on allegations of stealing three goats from Nyamwamba West Cell in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality.
The Rwenzori East Regional Community Liaisons Officer, SP Luke Mbusa has confirmed the development to Messiah Radio and identified the suspects as Kezekiah Kule, 32, a resident of Kizungu cell and a one as Dezire, 19, a resident of Nyamwamba West.
According to him, the suspects who were arrested yesterday and detained at Kizungu Police post had slaughtered the stolen goats and parked them in polythene bags. They were arrested while looking for the market of their stolen meat.

SP Mbusa subsequently called on the community members to cooperate with the security agencies and the local leaderships of their respective areas in securing their lives and property, asking them to be reporting suspected thieves so that they are apprehended.
Mr. Jafali Kigutia, the Local Council I Chairperson for Base camp Lower who spoke on behalf of his follows, warned the people grazing cattle from his area of command with an ambition of stealing other people’s animals to desist from the habit.
