Members of Greater Kitswamba Community Transformation Alliance have rallied the public to uphold formal education as a tool for socio-economic development of their communities.
Mr. Sam Majani Bwambale, the Chairperson for the Greater Kitswamba Community Transformation Alliance says that they are concerned about the low levels of education in their area.
Bwambale told Messiah Radio that such low levels have negatively affected the socio-economic development of the area, leaving most families financially vulnerable.
He explains that as an association, they have launched go back to school campaigns that are aimed at sensitizing all the parents and children of school going age to keep in schools until completion.
Mr. Godson Mumbere, a member of the Greater Kitswamba Community Transformation Alliance, advises parents to minimize expenditures on luxuries and instead prioritise education for their children.
Mr. Ronald Kalisha, the Kitswamba Town Council Speaker, noted that the commitment of the town council in supporting all development-oriented initiatives in the area.
During the launch on Sunday, the alliance donated scholastic materials including mattresses, books, pencils, and Mathematical sets to more than 100 learners in the area. ENDS
