Christians and Church leaders in South Rwenzori Diocese have been advised to promote financial and loan disciplines of all the money that they acquire from SACCOs and other financial institutions in a bid to evade arrests.
The advice was sounded today by the Diocesan Secretary, the Rev. Can. Nelson Walina while addressing the congregation that had thronged St. Paul’s Cathedral for the 2024 Christmas Carol Service.
Can. Walina stressed that it would be a good idea for the Christians to always apply for manageable and affordable loans in order for them to escape the trap of being arrested after failing to repay the money.
He also implored them to embrace the culture of saving part of the money that they acquire in form of loans purposely for establishing businesses that would enable them refund the borrowed money.
He observed need for Christians to embark on good planning systems before accessing loans, describing the act as the only guiding format for spending effectively.
