The leadership of Kitholhu Sub-county in Bukonzo County West, Kasese district has decried the poor road network in the area.
The Sub-county Chairperson, Mr. Emmanuel Kule Maliba says the poor road network has not only hindered the movement of people but also the transportation of agricultural produce to the market centres.
According to him, the Isango – Bulemera – Kabwe road has been damaged by the heavy rains that recently befell the sub-county, appealing to the District Engineering Department to come to the people’s rescue through renovating the only main road in the lower local government.
He also decries the challenge of understaffing at various government grant- aided primary schools and health centres, lack of a secondary school and a police post among others.
In a separate development, Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule, the Nyakiyumbu Sub-county Chairperson who also doubles as the Chairperson for the eight sub-county Chairpersons in Bukonzo County West says the entire constituency experiences a challenge of theft. ENDS
