Youth urged to join God’s work

BY ISAAC MUMBERE

The youth in South Rwenzori Diocese have been encouraged to join God’s work when they are still young.

The encouragement was sounded today by Ven. Wilson Baluku Mulengya, the Archdeacon for   Kyarumba Archdeaconry while addressing the youth during their one day go back to school conference that was held at St. Thomas Kyarumba Church of Uganda Parish.

The conference was aimed at preparing and sensitizing the participants about the best ways of handling themselves as they wait to go back to their respective institutions of learning.

Organized under the theme, “Seek God in your early life,” attracted participants from all the Anglican Church of Uganda Parishes in Kyarumba Archdeaconry.

The Church Minister challenged the youth to be mindful of whatever they do on earth, arguing that they shall be held accountable when they reach heaven.

According to him, their youthful stage determines their future, advising them to also embrace the culture of saving when they are still young.

He used the same platform to warn the youth against the practice of contaminating their bodies through adding what he called foreign bodies that have sometimes caused some difficulties in the present world.

The Man of God therefore urged the young to have hope and put their trust in Jesus Christ so that they are enabled to do positive things that will make them be respected by other people in public.
