BY EDITOR

As part of the preparations for the homecoming of the Rwenzururu King, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, the youth on Wednesday morning started cleaning the Obuhikira Royal Hill.

The Obuhikira Royal Hill is where the current administration offices of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu are located.

But a section of youth who thronged the Hill to participate in the cleaning exercise told Messiah Radio that they decided to join the rest to clean the place so that it becomes attractive for the King to view as he comes.

Mr. Jolly Kahyana, the Chairperson for the Rwenzururu Youth under Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu while addressing the people who had turned up for the exercise, asked the youth to be patriotic to the Cultural Institution  and their culture as they also work for co-existence.

He also used the same platform to caution the public against hate speech and advocated for embracing activities that are aimed at causing development in the cultural institution.

Mr. Misairi Thembo Kahungu, one of the people that turned up for the exercise, appealed to the community members to embrace tree planting on the bear hills and along the river banks for environmental conservation and solving the challenge of global warming.

Mr. Neckson Baluku Mbayahi, another participant, asked the people in the Rwenzori sub-region to love their culture, adding that it is their identity. He also warmed the general public against mixing the issues of the Kingdom with politics, noting that the cultural institution brings together people of all political parties and religion.
