BY JACKSON BUSEKU

Members of Kasese District Civilian War Veterans Association have been asked to work hard on an attempt to benefit from government programs.

The remarks were sounded today afternoon by Lt. Col. Barnabas Bwambale Mughongo, the Coordinator for Operation Wealth Creation in-charge of Busongora County North while addressing the association’s committee members during their meeting that was held at their head offices in Kamulikwizi Cell, Kanyangeya Ward in Nyamwamba Division of Kasese Municipality.

Lt. Col. Mughongo argued that some people were complaining of absolute poverty because they fail to use the available opportunities to tap money, adding that this time round government has created all avenues for people to use and create wealth for the sustainability of their families.

He therefore advised the people to properly utilize the money given to them by government under the Parish Development Model Programme.

However, during the meeting the members resolved to establish a poultry project at their office premises as a way of getting money to support the association’s activities.

Mr. Phenahasi Kule, the association’s Chairperson challenged the members not to only rely on government for everything but to also use of avenues for development.
